I originally came to the UK to study English Literature at St Edmund's College, University of Cambridge. During my three years, I increasingly followed my theatrical passion, founding a drama society in college and generally directing plays. After finishing my degree, I decided to experience the world of theatre in practice, and work in various capacities in Germany and France for a year. Afterwards I came back to the UK to do my MA in Text & Performance Studies (Kings College London and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art).

I became interested in the crossover between theory and practice, as well as in the exploration of my intercultural experience as a traveller between Germany and the UK. Consequently, my thesis compares and contrasts contemporary playtexts in Germany and the UK, and is entitled Narration in contemporary German-language and English plays - Text, Translation, Mis-en-scène

Alongside my PhD, I work as a director and dramaturg in London, with a special interest in contemporary European plays.
