I currently in my third year of PhD at the Centre for Rural Policy Research (CRPR) in the Department of Politcs. I was pleased to be awarded a scholarship fully-funded by the CRPR at the University of Exeter and by the Rural Business School at Duchy College Cornwall. I began my research in October 2010 and anticipate completion in 2013.

My research addresses the impacts of peak oil and climate change on agriculture and aims to determine which farm management methods are most efficient in response to these issues.

In 2005, I began a BSc in Geography at the University of Liverpool, in which I was awarded 1st Class BSc (Hons) in 2008. I continued my studies at Liverpool, embarking upon an MSc course in Operations and Supply Chain Management, completed in September 2009, in which I graduated with distinction. The results of my work have been presented to the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, at the 2009 Swedish Energy Fair, and to the All Party Parliamentary Group for Peak Oil and Natural Gas (APPGOPO) at the House of Commons.
