I am conducting a PhD project on the Political Abuse of Psychiatry in the Middle East and North Africa, with a particular focus on Algeria and Palestine. Before starting on this project, I graduated from a Master at the University of Exeter and an undergraduate degree at the Universitá del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy.

During my research career, I have had the opportunity to conduct fieldwork in Morocco and France, and to become a member of the International Society for Political Psychology. Moreover, in November 2015 I have had the opportunity to present a paper at the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Middle East Studies Association of North America (MESA).

Teaching has been an integral part of my doctoral experience, working as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant since September 2014. As a recognition for my teaching experience, in April 2015 I won the Student's Guild 2015 Best Postgraduate Teacher Award, a prize given for student-nominated candidates in the teaching field.
