2013-2014:

MA - University of Exeter, UK

In 2014 I graduated from the University of Exeter with an MA in Middle East and Islamic Studies. During this year I had a chance to study under prominent academics experts in Middle East Politics and Middle East History, leading me to spark an interest in my current research topics. 

Courses included Omar Ashour's lectures on Islamism and Politics in North Africa, International Relations of the Middle East, and William Gallois' module on tje contemporary History of the Middle East.

2009-2012:

BA - Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan

In 2012 I graduated from the Universitá Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan with a First in my degree in Languages for International Relations. During my academic experience I had a chance to study Political Theory and International Relations, and I began my academic career in Middle East Studies and Middle East Politics. 

 

Professional/research experience

August 24 2015 - May 30 2016:

University of Exeter - CSSIS Research Finance

From August 2015 through May 2016 I was employed as Research Finance Assistant for the College of Social Sciences and International Studies.



My main responsibilities included the processing of Grant related expenses for the College of Social Sciences, as well as the administration of Purchase Orders related to the College’s Research cost codes.



This role progressed also as an administrator for two Graduate School of Education Grants: firstly, I worked with Vivienne Baumfield and Karen Mattick on “Understanding Cost, Value and Quality in professional education”, a grant from the British Educational Research Association. Finally, I worked with Dr. Martin Levinson on an AHRC Large Grant : “Disability and Community: Dis/engagement, dis/enfranchisement, dis/parity and dissent (D4D)”, working with a variety of partners across the UK.


September 22 2014 - present:

University of Exeter - Insitute of Arab and Islamic Studies

Since Septeber 2014 I have been working as a Postgraduate Teaching Assistant for the Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies and the Department of Politics. I have run a total of 7 seminars on different modules (for more information, see "Teaching" tab), and last year I was awarded with the Student's Guild 2015 Best Posgraduate Teacher award.
