I am a qualified and professional English language instructor, currently teaching EAP (English for Academic Purposes) at Qatar University. I also work for the British Council (part-time) as an IELTS examiner. I have been involved in the field of language teaching over a decade in various capacities. I have worked in a number of countries, including Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

I received my MA in English Language Teaching from Warwick University in the UK. I also hold a number of professional qualifications, e.g. CELTA (Certificate in English Language Teaching) and DELTA (Diploma in English Language Teaching) from Cambridge University. I am presently enrolled in the EdD (TESOL) programme at Exeter University and I am in year two of the pre-thesis phase. I have passed the following modules so far:

EEDD041 Educational Research: Theory & Practice - Part 1
EEDD042 Educational Research: Theory & Practice - Part 2
EEDD043 Perspectives on Professionalism
EEDD045 TESOL Classrooms & Pedagogy: Theory & Practice

I hope to start working on my thesis about language teacher resilience in September 2020, and aim to graduate in 2023. My doctoral journey has been challenging, as it's not easy to combine research with a full-time job, but at the same time it's been very rewarding.
