I graduated from the Faculty of Commerce, Menofia University, Egypt in May 2001, granted the Bachelor in Commercial Science (B. COM.) Degree (Major: Accounting-English Section) with a general honourable 'very good' degree (80.1%), and ranked as the head-student at this time. Based on my B. COM. scores, I worked as a Demonstrator (i.e. Researcher and Teaching Assistant Member) at the Accounting Department, Faculty of Commerce, Menofia University since May 2002 till July 2008.

In September 2008, I decided to start my professional studies in the UK and especially the Business School at the University of Exeter because of its excellent international reputation and well-informed professional staff. In January 2010, I awarded the Degree of MSc in Accounting and Finance with Distinction. In October 2009, I have started my MPhil/PhD degree in Accountancy under the title of “An Examination of Executive Directors' Remuneration in FTSE 350 Companies". I feel so grateful to Prof. David Gwilliam - my first supervisor - from whom I learned different techniques in research especially the format of archive-base case study. His distinguished style of supervision, positive attitude towards researchers, and loyalty to help and sort out any problem make him an outstanding supervisor and ideal tutor.

Finally, I would like to express my Sincere Gratitude to the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education (Sponsor), as well as the Business School - University of Exeter for giving me this great opportunity to complete my higher-level of Accounting studies in the UK.
