My name is Paul Carley-Annear, I am a mature student with a former career background in history and senior leadership in secondary education.

I am currently studying at Exeter as a second year PhD student under the supervision of Professor James Clark and Professor Catherine Rider. My thesis is focused on the parochialisation of medieval chapels of ease in Cornwall and Herefordshire and how they achieved varying degrees of independence from their 'mother church' through the themes of conflict and co-operation, and also their treatment at the Reformation - c.1300 - c.1600.
