I am a first year PhD student in Anthropology investigating food awards in south-west England. My research will explore how restaurants are involved in influencing food consumption patterns in differing social groups by their utilisation of regional and national food awards and the resulting publicity.

Previously I have earned a degree in Zoology BSc(Hons) from Sheffield University before training as a chef at Leiths School of Food and Wine in London. After this I worked in numerous different restaurants whilst gaining my Masters in Anthropology of Food at SOAS in London. Being unable keep away from cooking, I also currently work as a chef tutor at Exeter Cookery School.
