My career in the field of TESOL began when I graduated with a Master in TESOL degree from the University of Huddersfield in and I started my first job in the field, as an EFL Instructor at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  I went on to work at King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in various capacities.  Initially as an EFL Instructor and then as an Academic Co-ordinator.  I still reside in the Kingdom, in Jeddah and I am currently working for a private company as an Academic Co-ordinator on a military base, where I am responsible for the curriculum development and assessment for the English Language Department program.  I have been in the Kingdom for eight years now and I intend to continue to live and work in this amazing country.  I am at the thesis phase of the Doctorate of Education in TESOL program and my specific interests are investigating the effectiveness of using the L1 in the EFL (L2) classroom and supervisory models/approaches.
