Rebecca is undertaking a PhD in Politics in the department of Social Sciences and International Studies. Her research project is funded by the Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for Post-Graduate Research. It focuses on youth participation and civic education, in the broader context of the apparent 'decline' of democratic quality in the UK.

A PGCE qualified lecturer, who previously worked as an Associate Lecturer in Politics at the University of Plymouth for two years, and for 6 years prior, as a College Lecturer and Associate Examiner in English and IR History, Rebecca is currently a Post-Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Power and Democracy module at the University of Exeter.
