Project Summary

PhD project: I am interested in exploring Algerian MA students' lived experiences in learning about research methods and writing their MA dissertations in an EFL context using critical theories informed by key lumanaries such as Friere, Giroux, Bourdieu, Biesta or bell hooks.

Previous Projects: 

  • Dec 21-May 22: Advisor at the European Centre of Environment and Human Health funded project, 'making environmental and health equal, diverse and inclusive' (funded by the Natural Environment Research Council). 
  •  Feb-July 21: Research assistant, 'decolonising Exeter - teaching toolkit'  funded by the Social Mobility, University of Exeter
  • Sept 20-July 2021: Student fellow, 'decolonising knowledge production and anti-racist project' funded by the Education Incubator and led by the Exeter Decolonising Network.
  • Jan-July 2019: Using student developed media-rich content to produce inclusive learning materials for teaching research methods for master's students in education on VLE (GSE & EduIncubator)
