I am now leading two seminar groups for the above module. This involves curating and delivering weekly 2-hour classes which provide a basic initiation to writing prose and poetry. I set preparation and homework tasks and devise weekly in-class reading and writing exercises to ensure my students get as much practice as possible, executing the various techniques we have covered and examined.
As part of the GTA scheme, I shadowed Dr. Andy Brown on this module. Here I observed and assisted weekly seminars which covered the building blocks of both prose and poetry, and devised and delivered the 9th week seminar on 'dialogue'.
I tutor Creative Writing privately in London to students from institutions such as Birkbeck and Goldsmiths. This allows me to develop my one-on-one teaching skills, as well as exposing me to a number of different approaches to the discipline.
