Professional/research experience

Organiser of ExeWiP

I was one of the co-organisers of the department's postgraduate work-in-progress seminars.


March 31 2015 - June 30 2015:

Research Trip - Munich

I undertook a research visit to LMU Munich (München) for three months to improve my German language skills and to engage more closely with German research on Martial's Epigrams. My visit included the delivery of a research paper, and enabled me to meet some key Martial scholars (Sven Lorenz & Niklas Holzberg).

Postgraduate Latin Reading Group Convenor

I organise a Latin reading group for MA, MPhil, and PhD students in Classics & Ancient History, but I also encourage and welcome attendance from other disciplines (historically this has included Theology & Religion, English, and History students).



We cover a range of prose and verse texts, aiming to explore works in particular that are less well known.

Pegasus Journal Team

Chief Editor of Pegasus 57 (Classics & Ancient History Departmental Journal). I managed a team of sub-editors to organise and collate the annual journal.


August 2013 - present:

Classical Association South West Branch

I am the secretary on the committee for the CA's SW branch. I help to organise events, publicise them, and ensure thorough records are kept at committee meetings.
