I am currently in the third year of my PhD, having started doctoral research in September 2014. My project focuses around the question of 'how we read women,' analysing the reception of contemporary French women writers. The three authors I look at are: Julia Kristeva, Marie Darrieussecq and Monique Wittig, simultaneously trying to articulate reception and intertextuality within a wider theory of the other.

I graduated with a BA Ch in Politics and French from the University of Exeter, followed by an MA in Culture and Difference (Interdisciplinary) from the University of Durham. I spent an Erasmus year abroad at Sorbonne Paris IV, studying French language and literature.
