Humanity and social sciences are my prior discipline. I obtained a degree in French (major) and English (minor) from Khon Kaen University, Thailand (KKU). Then I focused on my Postgraduate Diploma study at Thammasat University, Thailand, on translation in English and Thai. This increased my interest in learning English and inspired me to continue my Master of Arts in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at Thammasat University. This helped me improve my English and I gained a wide and varied knowledge of second language acquisition, teaching methodology and educational research. Studying the master degree, I did a quantitative research on motivation of learning English for adult learners. Previously, I worked as an English lecturer (2007-2010) at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, the School of Education. I have enrolled in the EDD programme in TESOL which allows me to develop my research knowledge and skills and supports me to complete three qualitative research investigating EFL mentors’ and mentees’ perceptions towards their responsibilities, roles and professional identities. My present research study is related to the education of bilingual teachers.
