I am a part time Doctorate in Education student at Exeter University. As a second career, teaching has given me a "home".  Whilst serving in the WRNS I became an avid and 'forever' student with a passion and thirst to learn more and share more.  This naturally led to a career in education.  I have worked as an examiner for several AVAs and a local University, however, for the majority of my education career I have managed and taught Further Education for the Adult Education Service.  Lecturing in Psychology, Sociology, Study Skills, Education and Training and CPD, has provided the phenomenal experience and privilege of working with some exceptional and inspiring individuals. It is working with such individuals that inspired me to pursue my passion through Doctoral study.  My research interests include differentiating between integration and inclusion processes in mainstream education, pursuit of emancipatory, emergent and transformative education, decolonising mainstream inclusive education and posthumanism.
