I'm a first year PhD researcher here at the CRPR where my research will focus on the rewilding of species, land and ecosystems. My research is funded by the SSIS and will take a science communication approach to the questions of nature and culture in the rewilding debate. In particular I'll look at attitudes to, and engagement with, rewilding and investigate how people interact with landscapes. In addition to this I'm interested in examining levels of intervention in rewilding projects whether the intervention be from farmers, conservationists or others who live and work with the land.

Prior to commencing my research I had a career in the veterinary industry so I have an active interest in animal management, health and welfare. I gained an MSc from Dublin City University where my dissertation examined media framings of badgers in relation to bovine tuberculosis. Coming from Herefordshire and now living in Devon I'm highly conscious of the debates surrounding farming and wildlife management and look forward to exploring this further.
